Privacy Policy — Beef

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Beef ("we", "the app") is a free party game for friend groups playing in the same room, in person. This policy explains the little bit of data the app touches and what happens to it.

What we collect

That's the entire list. Nothing else is collected.

Why we collect it

Only to run the game you're playing, live, with the friends in your room: matching your phone to your seat in the room, showing your name to others in the room, counting votes, and showing results. Nothing is used for advertising, profiling, or analytics.

How long it lives

This is the important part: rooms and everything in them are permanently deleted about 4 hours after the room goes quiet (no activity). This happens automatically on our server — display names, votes, room codes, all of it, gone. There is no archive, backup copy, or history kept beyond that window. We designed the app so there's nothing left to lose.

Where it's stored

On Supabase, a hosted database provider, on servers located in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). We don't run our own servers and don't move this data anywhere else.

What we never do

Your choices

Children

Beef is rated 16+ and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from children, and the game content itself (an "edgy" question level) is written for a mature, in-person friend group.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at the same link. Since there are no accounts or emails on file, we have no way to notify you individually.
